First storm of season expected to bring rain to Southern California starting Sunday evening

HENDERSON, California – The first storm of the season is expected to bring heavy rains to Southern California starting Sunday evening.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday through Tuesday will be extremely wet.
Rain could be heavy over the mountain areas Monday through Tuesday with a slight chance for showers or storms in the morning. High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the upper 80s with a slight chance for storms or rain during the day.
Rain chances will increase again during Wednesday evening as cooler, unsettled air slides in on higher pressure.
Heavy showers and storms are more likely Thursday through Friday with high temperatures in the upper 50s to the upper 60s and with a slight chance for showers or storms.
Slight chance for showers or storms are more likely during Saturday with highs in the upper 50s to the upper 60s.
Thursday through Friday, heavy rain is more likely with slightly warmer conditions.
Saturday, the pattern shifts to dry periods with high temperatures.
As the new dry pattern settles in, storms are forecast for Southern California with a slight chance for storms or rain Friday through Sunday.
On Sunday, heavy rains are expected to begin in the morning and then slowly move out of the area. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s to the upper 80s with a slight chance for storms or rain Sunday night.
Tuesday through Wednesday, a new dry pattern is likely and storms are only expected during the evening hours with temperatures in the upper 60s with a slight chance for storms or rain Wednesday night.
Wednesday through Thursday, expect dry periods with temperatures in the upper 50s to the upper 60s.
Over the weekend, it looks as though some precipitation will be possible. However, the chances of precipitation will decrease.
The dry period will begin with warm conditions.
On Saturday, highs will be in the upper 70s to the upper 80s. The chances of rain is expected in the morning before transitioning into a new dry period.
