Rafael Nadal says he and his family are ‘very well’ after birth of first child
Rafael Nadal has said he and his family are’very well’ following the birth of his first child.
The Spaniard, who won the French Open two weeks ago, has two sons, Jens and Noah, from his wife Samantha Stosur.

“Well… very well. Very well,” Nadal told the BBC.
“It’s a joy, a privilege, to play with my family, which I love very much.
“We have two sons, Noah and Jens, who are born in February and July, which are very good years for my family, so I’m very happy. We had a good holiday. We can’t talk about it.”

“We’ve had good holidays, and we’ve been in the hotel for three months, so it’s a special time for us. It’s so important that we spend a lot of time with them, watching them grow and enjoying watching them.”
The former world No. 1 added: “For me, of course, the important thing is to be healthy, in good shape, and to have a good time with my family.
“I always say that tennis is a marathon, not a sprint. Of course, when you’re 20 you need to run and then when you’re 40 you need to play more and so on. But for me I always try to find the balance between them. That’s what I try to do with my life.
“I’m very happy at the moment. Obviously I’m very happy with a title because obviously the motivation is the best motivation.”
